[ On the morning of October 10th, the following is left slipped under Martin Whitly's door:

A large manila envelope, containing a photocopy of an 8.5 in. x 11 in. Deed of Trust. The photograph is of good quality. Martin will be able tell the deed is old. But in legible handwriting a few things stand out:
  • The deed is for the property at the same address listed on the back of the business card Mr. Martin gave him when they had their first memory event. This deed is for the Bureau’s building.

  • The deed is made out to the “Manhattan Engineer’s District” and is signed by a “Leslie R. Groves”.

  • The date listed on the deed is “1942”.

When Martin flips over the photocopy, he will find a handwritten message: ]

Thank you for being the way you are. ~ MMF

When posting to the communications comm, keep in mind that you must post the name of the character being messaged or addressed in the subject line.

These communications are meant to occur on the character's own communications network, such as their cell phone service, email, letters, etc. This is not the same as the public network that the Bureau can access.

In regard to your inquiry: "How far back are there reliable records of the Different existing?"

I would like to make one thing clear: All our records about the Different are reliable. It's certainly not a thing we would want to be remiss in documenting, ever since we became aware of their—of your—existence. Although we have been unable to ascertain the exact mechanism that has caused the Different to emerge among those who had otherwise experienced recollections that they could not explain, we know we can't hide the fact that it's been merely a year since this started to happen. After all, you would simply need to research the length of existence of the network to know that.
