I don't know. I don't think they will. They'd really have to worry about anti-bureau sentiment then. They can't want that.

I am not certain 'mad' is the proper word. Unhappy definitely is. I am not precisely disappointed in what you did, but the way you did it. Though I can understand the why of it. I am definitely frustrated.

But I love you, and you are my son, and this is so completely like you--this peace offering you are making of yourself--that I cannot stay mad at you for long. They had best treat you well, though.

Precisely. I know you are almost grown, Elliott, but I still try to look out for you as much as I may. This is something that is clearly important to you and something you believe in. As much as it dismays me, as much as I do not like it...sometimes, you must open the bars of a bird's cage, and let the creature fly.
